Civic Education & Policy Literacy

Civic Education & Policy Literacy

Building the knowledge and skills students need to understand and engage with the policies that shape communities.

Understanding Systems is the First Step to Changing Them.

Civic Education and Policy Literacy

Youth In Macro’s Civic Education & Policy Literacy program equips students with a deep, practical understanding of how public systems work and how to engage with them effectively. We believe that before students can influence policy, they need to understand it.

This program is rooted in systems-level education and policy analysis, creating space for students to develop the critical thinking and professional skills needed to navigate policy environments with confidence and credibility.

Our approach is educational, not partisan. We do not engage in lobbying, electoral activities, or protest organizing. Our focus is building policy literacy and civic preparedness among the next generation of macro social work professionals.
